2 Break Clears in a span of 2 days of playing pool.

Mood: Elated Music: None

Omg 2 break clears in two playing pool days I call it, basically, I played on Sunday, and again today, Tuesday.

On Sunday I had finished playing at Loop Pool, and also finished eating at Al Ameen, me decided to head to Mambo BTP to try it out, since I had tried Century, Loop, and Pool Factor, might as well try out Mambo BTP since it was in the area.

I broke, shot on the 1, shot on the 3, HOOKED ON THE 4! It was a simple escape, so I tried to pocket the ball into the top corner.

LO AND BEHOLD, the 4 went, I chose to pocket it in that corner cos it would give me position on the 5, count it lucky I guess, but still counted. I landed on the 5, barely, I forced position to the 6, and I had a simple run out.

Thing is, I was playing my fast brand of pool, looking and shooting, letting my instincts do the job, similar to how I broke and cleared the last time, didn't realise I had run the rack until the 6 ball, and realised I had actually broke and ran up to there.

Then today, I went to Loop Pool with Guo Jie, wanted to teach him to play. On the third or fourth rack, I broke as usual, blasted into the rack, cue ball controlled roughly on the centre table, easy shot on the 1. Ran until the 5th ball, then I realised that the rest of the balls were so easy and Guo Jie said "BREAK CLEAR AR!"(I had just only told him what a Break Clear meant!), it was only then I realised that I had broke and ran to that stage. The 5 was pretty hard, so I played safe and stunned it into the cushion, this left an easy roll on the 6, and position was guaranteed to the 7. Stunned the 7 to go 1 cusihion for the 8, landed very straight on the 8. DAMN! I was scared of over-drawing, so I played a very soft draw, potted the 9 for my THIRD BREAK CLEAR!

The green line indicates how much I drew back, the 9 was pretty tough but I kept my cool, knowing if I erupted in adrenaline I would probably miss the 9. I potted and shouted "BREAK CLEAR!" inside Loop Pool, which was empty, which is why I was not afraid to shout out loud.

Let me shout it again

BREAK CLEAR!

Lazy

Mood: Kinda Sleepy Music: None

I have been extemely lazy to update my blog, even after getting my laptop, I dunno why, but heh.

ANYWAY, I have been enrolled into Ngee ANn's School of InfoComm Technology (ICT). I'm in student group 0606, classroom 31-04-09. Pretty okay people, maybe because I haven't gotten to know them well at all, orientation was okay, went to keng half way through Fun(d) 2006. Wanted to meet my friend, should have told my seniors though, so if you're reading this, sorry. :D

There's pretty much A LOT to do in Ngee Ann. I'm pretty stoked at the gym, means I don't have to go all the way to Toa Payoh to go to gym, I can go direct to the gym after classes. I haven't tried any of the canteens except Canteen 1, my brother tells me that it's sort of a budget one, it's cheap with pretty salty food. :)

AFTER school though, Loop Pool is only 2 bus stops away from Ngee Ann. I'm a member there, perks include playing pool on Brunswick Metros(Brunswicks are the Rolls Royce of pool tables, playing on them is like driving a Lambo), with Super Aramith Pro Cup TV balls at a price of.........................

Weekdays
  • 9-3 PM : $1.80
  • 3-6PM : $3
  • 6-1AM :$4.20
Weekends

  • 9-3PM : $1.80
  • 3-6PM : $3.60
  • 6-1AM : $.4.80

I mean what the heck right? That's like an amazingly cheap price for such quality equipment.

That's me playing on the Brunswick Metros with DROP POCKETS(Able to hold 9 balls before they start popping out of the jaws). WIll get pictures of the Drop pockets another time.

Overall a great place, and I'm gonna pay it another visit later in the afternoon.

Laptop!

Heheheh, I received my laptop two days ago, and since then I haven't touched my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ system, other than to set the network settings on it. So now I'm enjoying my wireless network system, and therefore, wireless internet, so I can access the internet from anywhere in my house as long as there is a signal, and at McDonalds, and at Klassic Pool and recreation etc etc.

It's an Acer Travelmate 3282 WXMi.

Intel Duo Processor 1.66GHz
14.1" WXGA Wide TFT LCD
ATi Mobility Radeon X1400(Similar to Radeon's 9550)
80 GB 5400 RPM S-ATA Hard Drive
DVD Double Layer Writer
512 DDR2 RAM(May upgrade)
802.11a\b\g wireless LAN
Bluetooth 2.0

It is quite a beast of a machine for a laptop actually, seeing as I got it for $2000+-(Pretty "cheap" for such performance)

So far I can play games such as GTA and Fifa 2006 on it, I tried 3DMarking it, but it keeps hanging up, dunno why, maybe overheating or the machine can't take the stress.

Heheheheh, I so love wireless internet, not to mention I'm actually connected to my PC through wireless LAN so I can transfer files back and forth from my computer without actually having to be physically even in the same room.

5. Er, I would say likes pool, but that would already be asking to much, but an added bonus.

I would go on and on, but I won't, cos I can't cos I can't really think of anything else, and I wouldn't anyway.

Boo

Mood: Nervous Music: 3 Doors Down - Here without you

I was reading Alex's blog, then started chastising him for not updating, which reminded me that I have a blog of my own which no one really reads but it's really fun to actually just post and read the posts yourself.

The tagged victim has to come up with 8 different points of their perfect lover. Specify the gender of the target. Tag 8 victims to join this game and leave a comment on their page saying they’ve been tagged. If tagged the 2nd time, there’s no need to post again.

My Perfect Lover
Gender: Female.

1. Must be about 1.6m, imagine a 1.8m guy with a 1.5m girl, not a pretty sight.
2. Must play pool, or at least show an interest in pool.
3. Must not be as ugly as a bat.
4. Must be able to make conversation with me.
5. Is horny.
6. Not irritating
7. Plays Pool
8. Plays Pool.

Now here I'm supposed to tag 8 people, but I'm not going to give a fuck. :)

Today, the 9th of April, at 1500 hours, will be the LeClassic 9-Ball tournament. I'm pretty nervous, since I basically fucked up the 8-Ball tournament, I was too nervous, I missed too many shots, and missed a crucial safety which led me to lose in the first round. Couldn't even draw properly, too many nerves.

I'm gonna sleep soon anyway. I'll put up pictures of recent events another time ( Sentosa Trip, New Cues etc etc.)

The OC

Mood: Hungryyyy Music: Tyler Hilton - Missing you

WOOOH!!!!!!!!! I just finished watching Season 1 of The OC, man it kicks so much ass. It seems that the Teenage Serial Dramas I watch, I always catch them when they're in Season 3, cos I usually think it's gay, then they show Season 1 on Star World, and then I watch by accident, and I get hooked. First it was One Tree Hill, now it's The OC, well I'm catching up on lost time and I'm ahfl way through d\ling Season 2, then mid-season 3.

Grr

Mood:Confused and Frustrated Music: None

God damn my Lucasi still isn't in yet, and now I have set my sights on another cue, a replica George Balabushka for $380, I'm planning to sell the Lucasi for around $300-320, basically how much I paid for it, and get the Balabushka instead, it's a second hand, but in good condition, and comes with TWO shafts with ivory ferrules.

Here's a pic of the Balabushka.

Beautiful isn't it? The veneers are sharp, brown leather wrap, real inlays, all for $380, including the Joint protectors, the joint is a 3\8x10 Phenolic flat face joint.

Hopefully I can sell the lucasi fast enough to get this Balabushka!
